Russell (Rusty) F. Warren, Jr.
Co-Founder and Co-Managing Member

Mr. Warren has over 30 years of experience as a highly successful real estate investor and healthcare entrepreneur.

Mr. Warren began his career as a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Sports Care Management, Inc. (“PSCM”) which he helped to develop into the largest chain of physical rehabilitation clinics in the New York tri-state region. In 1994 he led the company’s IPO, at which point he became among the youngest CEO’s of a NASDAQ listed company. The company consummated numerous roll-up acquisitions, completed a secondary offering of its stock in 1995 and was sold to HealthSouth in 1996. While CEO of PSCM, he co-founded Orthonet, LLC, an orthopaedic rehabilitation benefits manager, which was later sold to Optum, a division of United Healthcare in 2015.

In 1996, following the sale of PSCM and after a severe real estate recession in the United States, Mr. Warren co-founded Ivy Equities and Ivy Realty with Mr. DiTommaso, with the initial goal of acquiring and managing distressed commercial real estate throughout the northeastern United States. Since its inception, Ivy has invested in more than 70 transactions acquiring in excess of more than $2.4 billion in assets. Over the years, Ivy has broadened its market to include eight states (NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA, MD, FL and CO) and successfully invested in a diverse mix of industrial, office, retail and multi-family assets. Today, Ivy Realty is a fully integrated real estate operating company with 50 employees providing investment services, asset management, property management, accounting, construction and leasing services.

Mr. Warren is also credited with launching and leading Ivy’s healthcare investment activities after the conclusion of his noncompete agreement with HealthSouth in 2002. These include co-founding and co-managing Ivy Capital Partners, Ivy Healthcare Capital, LP, Ivy Healthcare Capital II, LP, Ivy Urgent Care Centers of America and Ivy Halo Partners, LLC. Notable transactions include: IvyRehab Network (Chairman of the Board) sale to Waud Capital, Ivy Sports Medicine (Board Member) sale to Stryker, ONI Medical Systems (Board Member) sale to GE Healthcare, Alliance Surgery (Board Member) sale to United Surgical Partners, Ivy Urgent Care Centers of America sale to Northwell Hospital. In aggregate, Ivy has transacted on 20 healthcare private equity investments.

Mr. Warren has continued to research and invest in small to mid-cap public healthcare companies in turn-around situations including investments in BioMimetic Therapeutics, Wright Medical Group, ArthroCare, Inc., Encore Medical Corp., OrthoFix Medical Inc., and MiMedx Group, Inc.

Mr. Warren earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in 1989.
